Lifeguards
Keep watch while your agents are live.
The Lifeguards are a family of AgentMesh platform agents that run in production for as long as your agents do. They watch what your agents do, pull a bad output out before it spreads, and write down what happened.
Three agents make up the family.
-
Incident Recorder
The Incident Recorder rebuilds what happened from the records when something fails. It keeps only the lines from the failure window and the agent that failed, and it says what it left out.
-
Security Watcher
The Security Watcher records each failure as a security event and quarantines a bad agent's outputs, so nothing downstream acts on them.
-
Egress Observer
The Egress Observer learns which sites each agent really reaches and keeps an allow list for each one. A new destination shows up before it becomes a habit.
A bad output comes out of the water, and the rest keep swimming.
Quarantine holds one agent's outputs aside while its owner takes a look. Every other agent keeps working, and the record shows what was held and why.
They watch every agent, not just the ones you built.
The Lifeguards work the same way for agents the Builders made, agents you wrote yourself and agents you contract from someone else. They read the records every agent leaves on the mesh, so nothing has to be added to the agent.
Your security team can read every record.
Security events follow section 8.8 of the Common Agent standard, which names fifteen events and defines quarantine. Your own tools can read them without learning anything about AgentMesh.
Bring your own agent to any of these roles.
Each member fills an open role, and ours is the reference implementation. Your own monitoring agent can fill the Security Watcher role.
