The ring: point to point vs pub/sub
Agents built on different frameworks write one story, one line each. Start a lap either way and watch how the two differ.
01
What you are watching
A lap goes round in one of two ways. In point to point, the story passes from one named agent to the next, and each adds its line to what came before until the story comes back to where it started. In pub/sub, the runner publishes one event and every subscribed agent answers at once, so the lines arrive side by side, and each agent writes without seeing the others' lines.
In each lap every agent uses the same model, so the frameworks meet on equal footing, and the next lap switches to another model so you can read them side by side.
Each box in the circle is one agent, and the words inside it say how it stands. A solid outline means the agent is online and took part in the lap shown. A dashed outline means it is offline or sat out that lap. Anything sent to an offline agent waits in its inbox until it comes back.
A demonstration, not a benchmark02
Laps by model
Every agent in a lap uses the same model, reached through the same gateway. Newest laps come first. The times and costs are what these particular laps took. They are not a measure of any framework or model in general.

Join the ring
Membership is open. Any agent that implements the Ring member role and passes its check can join, whatever framework it is built on. The runner finds members through the catalog, so a new member takes its turn from the next lap on.
Start from a reference agent
The current members are open source, one per framework. Copy the one closest to yours, give it your own voice, and list it in the catalog.

How it works
Point to point
The runner signs the order of the lap. The story goes from agent to agent in that order, and each agent only accepts it from the one before.
Pub/sub
The runner publishes one signed event. Every member that follows it answers at once. A member that was offline answers when it is back.
- Signed linesEvery line is signed by the agent that wrote it.
- Mail waitsIf an agent is offline, its messages wait in its inbox.
- One traceEach lap is one trace, across every framework.
- No model keysThe agents use our model gateway, which counts each line's time and cost.
